Darling Street are a Sydney-based rock and pop band pumping out punchy, energetic tunes inspired by the likes of The Rolling Stones, Oasis and The Beatles. The band consists of Seamus (vocals and keys), Paddy (vocals and guitar), Olly (guitar), Greta (bass) and Sophie (drums). Their latest single Watching Paint Dry is high octane rock 'n' roll in its purest form.
They're releasing another brand new single, 'Margaret', especially for this show! Have a listen in the morning, come and chant the lyrics in the night...
The group have just come off the back of playing their first festival at Groovin' the Roo in the Kangaroo Valley with Shag Rock, as well as selling out their first ever interstate show in Melbourne last month. They are set to play amongst the likes of Pacific Avenue, The Ruebens and Jack River at the Winter Wine Festival in Gerringong shortly before their Metro debut.
Darling Street are joined by Pallas Haze and Possum Pants. Pallas Haze are the home of ethereal guitar melodies and thumping bass lines in a tasteful blend of indie rock and RnB. Possum Pants provide an enticing mix of jazz, funk, soul and folk to kick off the night.
If rock and pop and all that good stuff sounds like your kinda thing...then come on down to The Metro Social on Friday, June 21st. You won't be disappointed.
